They are my ISP and their service sucks. I only signed up with them because they have a high-speed connection to the campus where I work and they offer a discount to University faculty and students.

But try to get any help and you'll be on hold for ever and get sent around all kinds of departments that don't have a clue and then get sent three CD ROM starter kits by Express Mail about two weeks later one after the other. I still haven't worked out how to put webpages on their server (I use the Uni one instead). The online service where you can check your usage does now seem to work....

They are Australia's second ISP (after Telstra). They are more interested I think in wholesale (eg deal with Universities and with smaller ISPs of which there are 600 in Australia), than serving retail customers. C&W Optus and AAPT are trying to get into Internet (They are #2 and 3 Telcos after Telstra). AAPT primarily as a reseller to their phone customers (I am an AAPT customer and shareholder).

On the stock I haven't really followed except to note it's been all over the place. Owners only sold 3% in the Aussie listing. So it was almost impossible to get in on that. Hopefully above comments migth give some insight into how they do business. I'd switch to AAPT if they give a similarly priced deal.
