Ike,

In a rebuttal to your eloquent arguement... First of all, I will
say, I am not disputing that technological and evolutionary advances
will take us much further..

The point I was originally trying to make was that there has always been a marked economic slow down after a marked economic
advance, the advance which was brought on by greater productivity as a result new and improved technology, ie, the business cycle..

First of all, my basic thinking is rooted in Relativity,
I can imagine when fire first burst on the scene.., the wheel,
the bow and arrow, gun powder, steam, electricity, the vacuum tube, nukes, the transistor, the society all thought collectivity, not
individuality, that they were at a new paridyn (sp for sure), where they could throw out the past and only look forward..

Prosperity for Forever, no hungry down turns when we have bow and
arrow to shoot our game from a distance, no less, not up close with a
spear or club,, Gun powder even better.. electricity to light homes
and factories, keep humming all through the night.. everybody has a
job.. and so on..

All I am predicting is a economic down turn, of some severity,
while we digest all our new productivity brought on by the advances
of technology.. ye ole business cycle has not been repealed in my
book..

BTW, artificial intelligence, which is only a gleam in societies
eye, will be the next paradyn.. followed by a Transponder for Real
space travel, "beam me up Scotty" type travel.. The current space
travel, which is very sophisticated for our time, and I am not
denigrating at all, will be looked at X years from now as we look at the first efforts of rowing around the Mediterranean back when..

The key to the future is in past, and to prepare for the future,
you look to the past..

Thank you........the Coug ...always looking all around
