surely there are some other components of the bus week article that warrant debate or do
all bulls just ignore the numerous bearish points put up by the journalists (hey, i didn't
write the article)???

LP,

I read the article twice now. I subscribe to the online edition.

Missing issues that count:

1. The debt of $500 million.
2. At preasent cash burn, AMZN will need cash again next fall.
3. The European market for books is larger and Bertelmanns won that with their AOL alliance. That is a given as far as I can tell.
4. If one does not stock their inventory and relies upon a wholesaler, the cost or goods is 8% higher.
5. Every item is shipped in a shipping box. How much do these boxes cost and they price of the boxes is cyclical.
6. The customer is not performing the fulfillment of for the company at no charge to the company. Fulfillment costs exceeds gross margins.
7. Last minute holiday shopping does not work.
8. The company has not had experienced competitors until now in the online market.
9 Etc.
