si appears to have a problem with posting capacity. it appears to be related to server throughput and they have the equivalent of rolling brownouts through the posting public.

That was anything but SI. You send them the whole message when you hit "Submit Response", not letter by letter. Letter by letter was the style BBSs worked in stone age. Is AOL that archaic?
