Paul,

<< This almost sounds like Windows 95 isn't booting up properly - and it "hangs" during the boot sequence.
I've seen this behavior before - my Windows 95 seems very sensitive to what files I include in my start-up folder, etc. >>

Thanks for the thoughts! It is Win98 on the system but it is probably the same thing. Now that I think about it, the problem did start just AFTER I changed the desktop to the fancier 'underwater look' from MSFT PLUS...perhaps this was/is cluttering something at the start up.

Re;AMD
<< I was describing my actions - not really advising anybody to buy or sell. >>

I know this, thats why i gave you the little wink. I've never seen you recommend buying or selling something unless you are trying to be funny (ie. XXXXX, BUY MORE PUTS ON INTEL, YOU'RE DOING WELL SO FAR ;-))

You buying AMD (a company you very familiar with and have argued in some great detail about how poorly run they are ;-) clearly showed all here something, imho...unfortunately, I feel like an idiot for not picking up some just following your lead. :-)

Re;GBLX
They are very interesting, but I don't know much. While everyone is getting networked up all over the place, these guys plan on being the 'missing' link supplying the crucial undersea bandwidth (ie fiber under the oceans) connections and link up to people like QWST. They sport a massive market cap...but something to check out anyway. ;-)

all imho
