Hi Kemble, thanks for the response and all the information. Do you have any idea how much Dell can make on the sub $1000 pc's? I would estimate between 150 and 200 dollars.

After reading that Intel had once again announced that they are going to meet/exceed the quarter's estimates, I started wondering why Dell doesn't do the same. What's you take on Michael Dell's silence on this subject? A favorable preannouncement sure would help boost the stock's price.

the math is simpler still. A new Volkswagen never sold for under $1,000!
Dell is doomed.
The lion's share of computers will be made with cheap labor and by foreign companies.
