Stock Bull --- you are 100% correct IMO. Analysts and investors were spoiled with that kind of an EPS for many qtrs. When a great qtr instead of a miracle qtr ocurrs no one knows how to act and wonders what is going on... once past 71 it will change again and once next EPS are announced most (no all) will have forgotten.

>>the stock hasn't performed well since the last quarter's earnings report was released? IMO, its due to the Street's disapointment in the company not meeting the whisper number.<<

I think it is more than that. The stock's momentum is also being weighed down by Compaq's direct marketing announcement which was strategically made one day before Dell announced its quarterly earnings. The perception is that Compaq will now çhip away at the hugh advantage that Dell has enjoyed for so long and that maybe the high pe which Dell now has is questionable. What do you think about this??
The big boys are now pushing Compaq over Dell. Why do you think they are doing this??
