HI TLG; Long time since we post together, BTW I stopped hunting
Chickens. <G>
Allow me to add, to my index , stock hedge thingy,
in the past I would "leg" in, that's now a no no, step into
both positions and the same time, but leg out.
--------------
Ie, like if I'm going long the index, and short AMZN I go into both
positions at the same time, then get out of the loser fast and
let the winner run. The old cut your loss and run your winners,
works. Now this can be just awful if you step in and both positions
go against you, yuk the index falls and Amzn goes up just the
opposite of what I bet
man get out very fast and take a break,
the idea of stepping in is to have the patience to do it with
momentum ( ya be a rotten momentum player )..you want both the
index going up, and the issue you short going down when you step
in. Or the other way around, then leg out of the poorest one.
If have monentum with you when you step in you should have both
of them working for you a lot more times than you will get caught
with both going agaist you.
-----------------
foot note, if you looked at the index I posted you saw it was
up 3.17% but Amzn had just broke her water and was started down,
and that fit with long the index short amzn hedge.
