The Russell 2000 is not close to its peak. So not everything has rebounded as well as the major averages.

My point though is that even people that now are happy with their gains in the nifty fifty (or in funds that invest in same), may not be so happy later, as someone has to take them out in cash and when the flows are going the other way, prices won't be so easily sustained. In other words, a lot of the wealth effect of this market will not actually be enjoyed in the end.
