Even with this in mind, I placed an indication of interest with E*TRADE for the following reasons.

I did the exact same thing Bob, for the same reasons! 100 shares isn't going to send me to the poorhouse, even if I do have to end up using them as wallpaper. :-)

What is your feeling on the strongly recommended minimum 30 day holding period by E*TRADE and the potential of being excluded from future ipo offerings if you exhibit shorter holding periods?

I can understand where they are coming from. Perhaps they will get fewer IPO opportunities if their client base sells early, so by holding a hard line they enable all of us to have more opportunities.

Seems to me you don't want to screw your chances for a big score with a future IPO by selling your CNQR early, although if you can get a worthwhile number of shares of an IPO through E*Trade it probably isn't much of a high-flier anyway...

I thought the overall tone was very negative on future earnings and risk factors.
Read any IPO prospectus and you will find similar if not identical language. No big deal here. Just boilerplate to cover their butts with.

This seem to be reflected in the anticipated ipo price range($9.5 -$11.5).
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. This is a typical IPO pricing range. You most often will see IPO's priced betwen 10 and 20 dollars a share. They try very hard to combine the right NUMBER of shares with the right PRICE, so as to create a stable price with as little volatility as possible. Even E-Bay was only like 19 bucks. Another recent IPO, ETEK actually started out priced lower than Concur. (It WAS raised a couple times before final IPO)

What is your feeling on the strongly recommended minimum 30 day holding period by E*TRADE and the potential of being excluded from future ipo offerings if you exhibit shorter holding periods?
Flip your shares and you may not get many other chances at an IPO. Again, they are trying to create a stable environment for the stock in the first month and flipping is STRONGLY frowned upon.
