Gap Lists- Stocks with high volatility or ave. price range

It appears to me that good gap players must have a preliminary list of high volatility or high ave. price range stocks from which to choose their gap plays. Would this be correct? Most of the gap posts seem to be on stocks like DELL or AMZN as modified gaps as opposed to a relatively unknown, low volatility stock on a full gap.

Hello Last,

This may be a dumb question, but would it be possible to develop a formula similar to the REI which would employ the VWAP not only to aid in trend analysis but also inter-day movement? Possibly using Excel to give a graphical "flow" such as MACD or RSI?

It would take me months to study the idea, but I figure you could probably birth or kill the idea in a nano-second. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Tob
