As I understand it, when your WaveMeter knows who you are, any number of others who previously might have been able to tell -- legitimately or otherwise -- instead will simply see that you are a trusted client. Which one? The WaveNet takes care of that.

<<BTW, the one thing that makes me nervous about the WaveMeter is its ability to "know" who you are. Many people are very skeptical of others and do everything they can to guard their privacy.>>

Maybe most people *think* that they do everything they can to guard their privacy, but in fact every time you log onto any web page you're giving up tons of information about yourself without even realizing it. For that matter, every time you give over your credit card, you're handing out information about yourself to people you don't know. I don't disagree that people might be put off by the *perception* that Wave is getting private information about you through the meter -- and I believe that the company is going to have to do some PR work to manage that perception. But the truth is, you're giving all this information up already anyway. If you really wanted to keep yourself private, you'd have to stay off the Internet altogether. It's an important point, though, because it's bound to keep coming up.

".........Anyone know how these "tighter encryption controls" will affect WAVX."

It's a downer for the software slobs whose professed concerns for security are not genuine. They just want to flood the world with their garbage. The nastier the government is about this issue the more attractive WAVX Technology should become.

Have a cold one,
Marty
