You mentioned that you are not fond of the scan GUI. Can you tell me how you write your scan? I am trying to write a bunch of scan with varying parameters. So, I tried to write one using their editor, export it, make modifications with a text editor, and import back. Well, this doesn't work. Some of the lines are mashed together. You didn't do something correct. I do this all the time... Occasionally you will get clipboard busy that Bob has reported numerous times but mostly it works well.Sean, I admit that I was frustrated last night, but I don't think it has anything to do with progressive attitude. If I didn't read the manual, then it's my fault. If there is no documentation, then it's their fault. I hope you and others are still willing to help me out in the future, but that takes time. I wanted to get started. Yes, they do have a money back guarantee. But, that shouldn't be an excuse for an inferior product and lack of documentation. QP1 didn't have much documentation, but it was intuitive enough to use. QP2 is not intuitive at all, so documentation is essential. Too bad they don't support QP1 any more. I would rather pay QP2 price for QP1 software. Thanks for letting me vent. Read the Help files. The printed manual is useless. The online docs are much better. I have no idea why Gary won't provide this in PDF format. QP2 I find very inuitive and superior in almost every aspect. Spend some time with. The scanning, virutal features, automation capabilities, MS exporting and internet downloader, and data quality are all better than QP1. I think you will like if you just continue using it... Its really not that much different from a UI perspective that V1. You haven't begun to tap the power of what you can do yet... Check out Brooke's site for lots of scans to play with...geocities.com Sean
