MU aside, DRAMs will be around for a while. I don't see ANY alternative to DRAMs at the moment. At least not for the next few years. DRAMs will be around at least that long if not more. Demand HAS NOT subsided. Personally, there are still a few too many DRAM mftrs that are holding prices down. But the question is WHO WILL SURVIVE and WHO WILL FALL?? I guess at the moment its anybody's guess!
