This year the NFC East is the worst division in football. It's not even close.

Our schedule is virtually identical to SF's. The first place and last place schedules are one of the biggest myths in the NFL. Only a sucker would fall for that sham. ;-)

it just seems from the beginning of time s.f. has whupped atlanta...

Over the past 20 years, whenever we have our act together (which happens from time to time), we compete well with them. We have handed the Niners many a critical loss. Remember 1991, when the Niners smoked Da Bears like a cheap cigar on the last MNF game of the year, running up the score Spurrier-style? They were pissed because they were one of the top 3 teams in the NFL, but were out of the playoffs because we whupped them twice. In 1995, we beat them in the last game, to make the playoffs, and making the Niners lose home field in the NFC title game.
