I don't believe there will be any tax ramifications until you sell the new stock. Since the dividend is to be issued in the form of stock, the stock must be sold to show a capital gain. Once you sell the stock then you will have a capital gain just like you do on your other stocks. At least I hope you have "gains" with your other stocks. <g>
