In Utah we raced outside joyous in the summer high-desert rains. And everything smells different. The sage, the dirt. The air. And different colors.

I spent some time in Garmish Germany, close to the Austrian Alps, in winter. Slept in a feather bed with a feather blanket. The window was open and it was 20 degrees and I had roll back the blanket to keep from being too hot. Like floating in a warm cloud.
