I have seen Vignette's product and believe the business model is very good. The product is great for any business, large or small, that wants to sell over the internet and wants to develop a "relationship" with their customers. The personalization capabilities that Vignette possesses is key to internet customization. The ONLY drawback that I see with their technology is that privacy laws regarding internet profiles and customer data are trying to "catch up" and many countries around the world have different privacy laws about capturing internet customer data. Vignette's technology may be able to provide companies the ability to do more than the "law" may allow. I have not bought into much of the internet hype but believe that Vignette has a good product that is very applicable. I am buying some when they hit the market, that is for sure.
