Biometric smart cards are also already out there.

To save you some time, the main competition here is Identix (ASE:IDX), which just acquired Identicator, a privately held company that supplies the Compaq deal, and the Key Tronic deal. There is a well established IDX thread on SI (over 11,000 posts). Identix has strong ties to the US government use of biometrics, and is international in scope.

IDX has revenues of about $100 million per year. Market cap (adjusting for acquisition) is about $300 million. It is the 800 pound gorilla in this little field. There are a number of wannabes, almost too many to count. At this point, Delsecur is at best a wannabe.

My main point is that, contrary to assumptions here, Delsecur has far from a clear field in front of it.
