Rob--A number of religions have spoken of the evils of shorting through the ages.
One of the earliest known shorts the great Chu Mei Ash (Author of ' The Zen of Shorting' and 'Candlestick Shorts') speaks at length of this very subject. Chu Mei Ash was a short from ancient Japan during the Shogunate Period and was an acknowledged master of the market.
In this passage from 'The Zen of Shorting' he speaks of the evil of shorting:
