Well, I may get to answer my own question about what
Informix's internet story might be, at least in part.

An article on C|Net (www.news.com) about the upcoming Java Expo and Sun's release of a final Windows version of JDK 1.2 talks about various companies who will be at the Expo to demonstrate Java aspects of their products. Informix will be there too--here's the quote:

"Database company Informix plans to show the use of different Java technologies in several aspects of designing, running, and using databases."

Whatever that means. At least they will be in the right place at
the right time hopefully showing the right stuff. And a bit of that good ole "proactive outreach" wouldn't hurt...
