Ok william, ok you do challenge glenn. glenn, tell me about frustration and irritation -- you post all the Fortune stuff, I post some bus week and barrons stuff, great material for debate and all you hear back, great company, brand name next walmart of the web, get on for the ride and other silly hype -- i usrvived the ktel morons, the hypers on this board pale in comparison to the lunatics on yahoo's (which i rarely check in on anymore) and the shills at TMF who posture as protecting the individual investor even as they hype the momo investors who don't even know the company symbols to pile onto ".com" stocks. This is empowering the individual investor? dumb bear question of the day? if this is the least competition amzn will ever face duting the holiday season (when 50% of sales occur) and all the publicity it has gotten has caught the attnetion of every retailer from walmart to borders to tower records, to aol, msn and yahoo -- what do you expect will happen to amzn's growth rate next year when all these deep pocketed competitors who have positive free cash flow (redundant i guess) have 3-12 months to mimick every worth mimicking from amazon's features and improve/innovate, when they have their marketing budgets more geared to the web,when customers who have walked into the real world stores all walk out with coupons for 3 for $1 and the web site printed on their bags, bookmarks etc??? just another dumb question.
