Hi Carolyn,

"I don't much like the double-toppy look of the major indexes."

I don't either, S&P still a buy but the breath is really bad.

Hi Carolyn, I have a Conservative Model from the
mastermind himself Brian Stocks of FastTools. It
is up nicely this year:

1) System Name LORSK15
2) Start Date 12/30/97
3) Stop Date 12/04/98
4) Tot Trades 3
5) Num Wins 3(100.0%)
6) Tr/Pos/Yr 3.2
7) Max DD 9.0%
8) MxDD Date 08/04/98
9) Cur DD 1.8%
10) Ulcer Ind 4.2%
11) Max Value 12422
12) MxVal Date 11/23/98
13) Tot Value 12201
14) Ann Gain 23.9%
15) Holding FDGFX(42)

It is currently holding Dividend Growth the past 42 days.
The model has had three sells this year. 100% winning trades.

It is comprised of the following funds: FDGFX,FGRIX,FEQTX,
FGRXX,FIUIX,FRESX,FCVSX,SLTGX,FSIBX,FASMX,FASGX,FASIX,FMSFX
AND FBALX.

FastRuber's will identify with this model. It switches
automatically with FastTrack accutrack 11/44.

To answer your question on moving average to use...
a 50 day moving average has always been a good point of
reference to use. If a fund can not maintain its 50 day
average, then it should not be held. Go back and run a
50 day on your fund and see if that is something you can live
with.
