You didn't miss anything. I was going to be here only for a few days, but someone's prayers (I'll not say who, but he knows who he is) were apparently answered, so here I remain. Something tells me the one who prays so fervently had much more fun this past weekend than yours truly.

I hadn't been up here since 1988. I got snowed in then too. I am given to recall a road sign I once saw somewhere in North Dakota that read, "If you get snowed in here, you're one of us until it melts." They tell me it never snows up here, that the only times It snows up here is when I drive up to visit. Even I'm having trouble buying into that one.

Yes, we are blessed with the bounty of computers connected to the Internet, and for that I am grateful. Indeed, things could be worse. When I was last here in 1988, there were no computers, and the satellite dish had frozen.
