Eve, OT *** thank you for the info on electronic books. I'll continue
to watch this area. One vendor is already offering such a device for
$500 (can't remember the name). That's too expensive. But the concept
has great potential. It will also lead to more impulsive buying, as
all those who have used Amazon's "one-click" ordering know.

Eve, serendipity strikes again: Dave Plotnikoff writes thoughtfully
about e-books in the SJ Mercury News today. Two points I absolutely
agree with: e-book readers must come down to <$100 and e-books
have to be significantly cheaper than paper books. If that doesn't
happen (but I think it will), e-books will just remain a curiosity.
