Street: How much you wish to bet the FAA, grounds everthing 12/31/99 to 1/01/99

just to find out what will take place? I for one will not be up there with
and that close to my maker on the day of change.

What do you think Y2K issues will play over the next year? We should start
making a long list of who will win and what will loose over the next 12
months of fear. Real fear is better for the market IMO than some of the
post made fear.

Regards,
Jim...

The Y2K problem will not only have the direct effects based on technology and financial implications, but what scares me even more is the mob mentality as we approach 2000. Banks are already requesting upwards to 100 Times their current cash reserves to cover withdrawals to cash. As you mention you are going to gold, not a bad idea! My concern is that everyone is underestimating the run that is going to go on with people pulling cash and investing in metals. What will happen when over $1 to 2 Trillion that is based on every household withdrawing only $5,000 and holding it in cash or metals. What will the impact be if that number is several trillions of dollars?
