Hey Richard: Did you read the latest post from Ramsey Su on China on the Qualcomm thread? Despite Surfer Mike's complaint that I shouldn't openly praise that post because it might spoil Ramsey, I still strongly recommend it as the best brief history and current analysis on the Qualcomm board at least. Apologies to the other "experts" such as Mqurice et al of course. :-) In short, ERICY faces a major potential danger in China due to the potential removal of the vehicle ERICY (and others) have used to permit "foreigners" to participate in telecom investments in China. ERICY is a potential major loser if this happens. And of course ERICY is also vulnerable if CDMA ever moves from "test" to operations in China. A drop in Chinese interest rates is (if you will pardon this) a drop in the bucket in comparison. It's positive impact on ERICY may not be zero, but that is probably close for practical purposes. Cheers. Chaz Sorry, Mike :-)
