I just bought a $900 CPQ (with 15" monitor and cheesy printer) from Circuit City as a gift. It's a nice machine with a 333 MHz "Celery", 96 Mb RAM, 8 Gb HD, etc. It compares well with the Dell PII that I using now. I think deals like this will give MUEI (et. al.) a little added incentive to lower prices (and, unfortunately margins). Beats me how they can make money on these CPQs, esp. since it was not direct. The future will be interesting.

BTW, I'm long MUEI and CPQ (I missed the DELL boat altogether and caught GTW for a small ride).

Larry,

Yes... I agree. The store shelf should be the management's ultimate target... maybe we can slide right in the void that used to belong to Packard Bell... without their quality problems, of course.

HWP-MUEI... now that would be a marriage!!! Have they been introduced? <GGG>

Gotta go,
