roq, value investing is an intellectual concept right now. the reality of investing is quite different now. value has become cheaper and expensive has become more expensive (so much for buy low and sell high ;-). buying a 4% growth company at a 4 pe and holding while it becomes a 16 pe stock (all else being equal) is quite different than buying the same 4% growth at 16 and waiting for a 64 pe. the naive don't understand this or, more probably, investing is now passe and rank gambling is en vogue.
