Manufacturers-Distributors-Retailers

Let's take a look at where the money is made
in one particular Furby 'food chain'.
(Financial numbers from Yahoo 'profiles').

Manufacturer (Hasbro) Ave profit margin = 3%
Distributor (GRIN) Ave profit margin = 4.1%
Retailer (Walmart) Ave profit margin = 3.2%

But even a good profit margin doesn't mean much
if the Furby sales are only a small fraction of
total annual sales.

Hasbro Annual sales = $3.13 billion
GRIN Annual sales = $37.6 million
Walmart Annual sales = $133.7 billion

Question 1 - what would sales of 2 million Furbys
mean to GRIN ?

Question 2 - what would sales of 22 (twenty-two)
million Furbys mean to Hasbro or Walmart ?

Enough said ?
