If amg data shows net outflows to equity funds for the next reporting period (as it did for the period ending Dec 2) I think that should translate into some problems for this market and soon. It hurts my head to think of how much money it takes to run this market to higher levels- and with money flows negative that just can't happen- can it?

Not to mention that the markets are vulnerable JUST due to technical indicators, not to mention that they have run up on lower earnings. This does not compute- not that it matters. But mutual fund inflows DO matter- and if people are taking their money off the table eventually that will become self reinforcing in just the same way putting money in to the market became self reinforcing.

Sure, c'mon down to the party, except I'll be on a ten day southern Caribbean cruise with my wife from the 18th out of Ft. Lauderdale, so I'll be out of town.(-...-)...unless you join us on the cruise.

I guess I can always have the steward bring some canopies and champaigne over to your suite?

My Best Regards.
