Anyone know why the last 1/4 financials are not audited?

Bill, You may hand-deliver a certificate for immediate sale, if your broker is local.

You can hand deliver to ANY brokerage near your home that CLEARS thru the same house as your broker. As a courtesy the local brokerage could submit your certificate with their day's work but using the other broker's account number. I did this once on New Year's Eve when I just HAD to have something taken care of that day, and didn't have the time to drive into New York City.

Or you can Over-night FedEx it. Faxing a copy first if desired.

Personally, my broker would let me sell without shares being in the account. I have T-3 days to mail them to the broker. I do this all the time. No big deal.

BUT I also have an account at Ameritrade and from talking with THEM they want the certificate in hand before I can sell. If that was my ONLY broker, then in that case I'd FedEx it to them and sell tomorrow.

Colin

BB,
<<<<It obviously sounds like the primary benefit is the reduction in the number of shares available for purchase, which according the law of supply and demand says the price will be driven much higher if there is a sudden demand for the stock. Is this why we're doing this?>>>>

The major benefit of having your shares put into certificate form is to force the short sellers to cover their position and help prevent further shorting. The smaller the float the more difficult it is to short. Not impossible, just more difficult. If you have a certificate you can go to any broker in town and they will open an account within minutes and do the trade for you.

Best Regards
