"You really think 27 1/2 is possible by the end of October, 1999?"

Actually, I do. It's only slightly more than a tripling of what we have now, and we're coming off some pretty horrible quarters (horrible for IOM, anyway), starting with Q4 97 or so. There are two simultaneous widely-stated "facts" about Iomega, (1) that the high-capacity floppy is a niche market, and will always be (stated by columnists) and (2) that sometime in the pretty near future, most if not all new computers will have built-in Zip drives (stated by computer makers and those who follow what actually is going into the boxes). The two are mutually exclusive in my mind, and I see #2 as being more accurate.

Jaz might be a niche product, so be it. Clik! might take off, and I think it will after it is included in things like PDA's and digital cameras, which should start happening by next July. This should give us enough credibility (and earnings!) to push the stock towards where it should be. Just beware of the momentum traders. If they catch hold of it again, it's going to be up quick and back down to where we are now, with no rationality (as in a couple of other stocks I own, which have taken over a year to pull back up to a resonable valuation).
