Robert S, "look beyond the abstract" means look for the full article in the library and show the full context of the review. I will try myself, but I need to make time for it, my library does not have the journal Infection. By the way I provided the thread before with the full lancet article of the phase II BPi study (I actually faxed it to everybody who show an interest before). Once with have one or the two of your abstracts in full we could appreciate better the comments of the authors. many of the basic sciences abstracts on BPi I do not bother with the full article, need a lot of time and at the end the clinicals are the definite answers those ones I love the full article. I agree on with you that many reviews are excellent insights in a field, most of the time by leading researchers themselves, many original investigation are garbage they are for pr an career curriculum building and others are honest garbage.
