If Microsoft intentionally delays the release of DirectX 7.0 for KNI, they risk losing control over the software API as developers start writing their own Do you have ANY (any at all) idea how much work goes into a 3D _API_ (I'm not talking about one piece of software, I'm talking API).. you make it sound as if someone will just up and in with a new one.. I mean GET REAL.. It would take close to a year minimum to develop it and another year for it to START to catch on.. that gives MS about 1.5 years to piss around with no threat.. Steve
