Some Internet pro was saying the other day, "who cares about profits the first couple of years in Internet E-commerce." Those internet companies that are getting the first kick at the cat in this game should sink every dollar that they can get their hands on in laying a solid foundation, there will be lot's of companies coming behind, so it is important to get that big jump, to get their name well known. Huge profits for these companies will come later. Shareholders of Internet stocks on the Nasdak know this well. Just look at UBID performance on their first day, Friday US$15.00 to a high of US$ 67.00/sh. it wasn't UBID's profit's that turned their shareholder's on, it was the Future (trillions $$) in the E-commerce business.
