Max,

IFLY is not in the tech biz. Strictly travel agents.

With the launch of the new site .... IFLY will also offer other things like car rentals, hotels .... etc. Plan your whole trip through one visit to IFLY site and save $$$$$$$.

This is the post you are referring to:

And, no I do not agree with vairagya, though that is my opinion. Howevet MAX90, I have not stated my view on how quickly IFLY can scale their Agent base. Your point does raise an interesting subject for DD.

At first glance, I recall that Mr. Mastini stated early on that they are prepared to add another 500 agents to the Internet project. All at once? No, but maybe over a period of 6 to 9 months in my opinion. The other factor you need to consider is how much more efficient the Internet offering is. I do know from my personal experience as a tester of the pilot, it took me 3 minutes to make a reservation. On the phone it took me 8 minutes. (Yes, I tried it out.) And I was very specific and brief on the phone. I actually chatted a little over the Internet to qualify my flight schedule.

So while they may triple their agents, add to that another double and or triple to agent efficiency. And that is just in one year. That would allow them to book almost a 1 Billion dollars in sales book rate after 6 months to a year of launching their site.

Now, don't you think that is huge...

Max- Another IFLY question that has not been addressed- As a consolidator, how is IFLY limited in access to "cheap" tickets?

Could this limit growth?
