Do you (or anyone) know how much of DELL's components are made in the U.S. and what percentage of vendors used are U.S.?

Jim, I've been busy with my internet stocks lately but it will soon be time to get back into the action on DELL. BTW, I just bought an Inspiron 7000 in order to stay in touch since I'm going to be away in Florida and Hawaii for most of December and January.

Here's a little ditty from the.street.com for your enjoyment.

Dell on Top

Gary,

What do you think of Dell (DELL:Nasdaq) now? Is it consolidating to newer highs or ready to break down to $50?

Thanks,
Patrick Scaglione

Patrick,

For Dell, I chose to look at a weekly chart going back a few years.

This clearly puts into perspective exactly what I'm beginning to think about this company: It's a freight train that just wants to stay on the upward-sloping track. Other than that, the only thing I noted was that volume has been declining the past few years. Ideally, you'd like it to continue rising as the share price rises, so I'd have to deduct half a letter grade from Dell. Still, the stock obviously warrants at least an A-.

On the fundamental side, I always thought the company was overrated. But, whoops -- I just started looking for a new laptop, and Dell is at the top of the heap. Only wish I had discovered how good they were a few years ago.
