Actually, the Chavez victory will be seen as one small positive for crude prices. China lowering rates will also be seen as a positive. I think Monday may be a very good time to buy into the OS stocks for a short term trade. The weather across the country will get sharply colder this week and will make people realize that winter is on it's way to those who have been lucky enough to escape it thus far. There can only be a few analysts left who haven't downgraded the OS sector. Speaking of downgrades, I almost died laughing at Lehman's recent downgrade of OS stocks. Where was this analyst while the sector continued to tank? I'll tell you where he was, he had a buy on stocks when he had no business being anything more aggressive then neutral!
