HI CGB, All that you say is true and that's what makes them so much fun!! In a world that has become rather boring and humorless in its PCness, they are a delightful contrast. There is not much more PI than their bloody roast beef in coconut milk or their roast goose stuffed with liver and pate and port. I love their irreverence toward vegetarians and health considerations. And of course, Europeans don't have our squeamishness about hunting and smoking. Last night, Clarissa (the ex-barrister) said the St Paul's Boys Choir (or Westminster or wherever they were) looked like little legs of lamb with their frilly collars. They must look at everything as potential food. We need to enjoy them while we can, because they will no doubt keel over into their butter at some point soon.
