Thanks again, if I could get up just a teenie bit more nerve I'de buy board (about $95.)cpu (about $95.) 128 PC100 mem (about $228.) all prices from ATACOM and take my chances. Trust dealer for 30 day returns. But then I'de be close to PC NT's prices, tested. Oh well!!!!
am shopping, deciding for a couple more weeks.

Have case, it has lots of screws. About 12 brass 3/8" M/FM. I assume are for mounting MB to Case. Looks like I screw screws (spacers)into case, place MB on spacer screws, place a fabric washer on top of the spacers before putting MB down, then screwing thru' MB into spacers. Do I have it right about fabric washers? Am sure MB will have chart about this when it comes. and where to place spacer/mounting screws.

Regards, /jw

All,

minotaur.com looks good....

I ordered the following from them today....

1 ABIT BH6 MOBO $95
1 Celeron 300a Retail (tested at 450) $152
1 Corsair 128M ECC Cas2 SDRAM DIMM $255
------
$547

They had about the Best Price around on the Corsair Cas2 SDRAM.
Mushkin is currently out of the Samsung G8 but has Samsung GH memory
for around the same price. Most other places want $299 for similar
memory. Inferior memory can be had for better prices but I want
nothing to do with it....

1 BusLogic Ultra SCSI Flash Point LT (Bare) $62
1 IBM Deskstar 14XGP 14.4 Gig HD UDMA 7200 RPM $349
1 SuperMicro 750a ATX Server Tower Case (7 Fans) $154

Here's the link for the case....
supermicro.com

and from other computers I'll be adding...

3 More EIDE HD's (8.4,6.4,6.4)

Seagate Tape Stor 8000 SCSI 4/8G
Teac CD-56S (6x SCSI CD)
Iomega Jaz 1G (SCSI)
Creative AWE32
Intel EtherExpress Pro100B
Matrox Millenium G200
NEC XE21" Monitor
IBM 102 Key Keyboard (Tactile)
Logitech Mouseman+ (4 button's and Wheel)
Palm Pilot Pro
Side Winder Pro Joystick
HP Deskjet 660Cse (This baby needs replaced)
APC Back-Ups Pro 420 PNP
EPROM Burner Card

Whats left of the Inwin/Tyan/Dual PII 300/256M Box will get used to
build a Linux server...

The new one will be my primary workhorse....

Sean
