Very, very true. All that is needed to nip any potential panick or irrational behavior is to have good, clear, verifiable information/evidence that companies and goverment entities are well ahead of the Y2K curve. With the SEC's pressure on companies to fully and accuratley report their Y2K status in their 10Q's from here on out, we should be getting that infomation soon. Imagine how foolish all those chicken littles will feel when they see that everything is all taken care of! Of course, then there is that slightly disturbing artilce in the new Dec. 14 issue of Business Week....but, I'm sure they'll get all that stuff taken care of right away.
