Visual Dataunaware of reason for shr jump

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Dec 4 (Reuters) - Visual Data Corp. said Friday it is unaware of a reason for the recent unusual activity of its
stock.

The stock traded at 5 late Friday afternoon, up 2-5/16 and setting a new 52-week high. The company has 3.73 million shares outstanding, according to S&P MarketScope.
Trading volume was nearly 3 million Friday.

''There are no unusual developments with respect to the company's business which could alone account for the significant activity in the company's common shares today,''
Randy Selman, company president, said in a statement.

''Our business continues to grow, and one by one each of our Internet advertising service libraries are beginning to penetrate their vertical markets and generate revenues,''
he added.

Visual Data makes full-motion visual information on various media, such as digital video discs and the Internet."

Not sure if it should be shorted - Not much downside (2-3 bucks) and if it pops, the ramping could be significant. Thought anyone? TIA
