Elmer, Correct. And the larger the scale the lower the cost/bbl or bbl eqv for producing the oil/gas- which means mor ework in the actual fields and loner field lives. Which means more wells drilled and and more maintenance work done....

As for deepwater, the big companies will have the dollars/desire to chase the big elephant fields. Now since deepwater drilling is a little thinner demand than say onshore work, there may be a short-term effect from the mergers on use of deepwater rigs as companies rationalize or choose which suppliers of deepwater drilling to use. But the overall volume of work should increase....
