Jim,

I'm a novice at considering SPY and I have a few q's I thought you might help me with:

1. Should the SPY be considered as an investment tool vs. an index fund?
2. I assume the tax consequences of gains/losses is the same with trades of SPY as with a stock?
3. I assume the price of SPY has nothing to do with demand for the symbol itself (it moves up or down ONLY in accordance with the S&P 500 -- regardless of the demand for the symbol)?

Thanks,
Dan
