"There are many, many good firms that offer that already, so why worry about whether CyBerTrader can do it? That's not what they do."

Why???
My two cents Bill, I disagree with you.
I've been waiting for several months to open a Cyber account, but won't do it until they offer full service option trading. I know I can use one firm for investments, one for position trades, one for daytrades, but I don't want to do that. I want one firm that can handle anything I want to do.

"Most options strategies are beyond simple buying and selling calls and puts are extremely complicated and are not appropriate for daytrading execution software such as CyBerTrader."

Again, why???
It sounds like you're commenting on something here you may not understand. I've traded and daytraded all sorts of option positions for years, so you don't have to tell me about option trading. But why couldn't it be better/faster/easier with Cyber.

Just because you're happy with what you have, I can't believe I'm the only one who's business they are losing by not offering options.

PS With most traders I know or come across, news is the last thing they want clouding their mind (or their screen). And following your logic, there are several news sources on the internet, why should Cyber mess with that. I'd much rather see option trading.

>With all due respect, I think your analogy is wrong, very wrong. By "positions," I assume you mean strategies. Most options strategies are beyond simple buying and selling calls and puts are extremely complicated and are not appropriate for daytrading execution software such as CyBerTrader. There are many, many good firms that offer that already, so why worry about whether CyBerTrader can do it? That's not what they do.< - William

What I mean is being able to trade any and all option positions.

I was originally going to start daytrading and have spent several months attempting to get an education in that area but after spending the last month or so studing options it would appear that if done properly one has much less risk with options, far more leverage on ones money and a much larger percentage return on ones money trading options.

And since the price of the options change as the price of the stock changes - and to a much larger degree - why can one not daytrade options?

I have been flustered by my finding that to do what I would like - have the ability to postion trade, daytrade and trade options I must have at least two different brokers and different program. Also, to do TA, I must have a program to do that as well. Each of which cost for the program and a monthly fee!

This doesn't make sense to me - A trading program like Cyber uses a data feed - the same data that a charting program needs. WHY must I not only need the expense of several non-connected programs and secondly, why should I need to LEARN several different programs?

When in use, one must have several programs up - a drain on computer resources - and keep switching between them to get what one wants/needs to do his job.

Cyber has a charting ability - just expand on it and make it a GOOD charting program.

Cyber has a daytrading program - seems like not much needed to add a FULL options program.

Hey - let's put it all in one place and then we can learn ONE program, have ONE program up and running and spend our time making money rather that the above.

Makes sense to me.
