Shane,

As I point out there are certainly exceptions, oil drillers being a prime example. I live in Houston and we went through a Depression in the late 80's. But what is bad for oil is good for the economy as a whole as it means inflation is low and quite. But the overall national economy is in great shape with low interest rates. That means a company pays a lot less in debt cost for whatever they invest their capital. Of course the people in Seattle will get hurt with the Boeing situation but does that hurt the biomed, telecom etc?
