If we are allowed another INTERNET rally day watch the catalog companies with recent website announcements:

IBI - Victoria's Secret...who can resist?

FHT - Fingerhut...not everyone's cup of tea, but big customer base.

DLIA - Teen girl mkt wrapped up...now teen boys and other variations on same young theme. Strong catalog sales...hip young company... bargain even at these levels, IMO, as this could easily move into 20s.

SME - Could be waiting for an "internet mania day" to release intentions? Or buyout? Or chap 11? One thing is for sure...they will not be the same company in 1999.

SPGLA - Still sleeper of the lot. Owns Eddie Bauer as well as Spiegel catalogs. Last to get noticed...like Cinderella? If she is not noticed, however...she may be scrubbing floors at 3 for a long long time.

BFLY, SHRP, maybe...?

Elsewhere in cyberspace: AOL, YHOO, MSPG, ELNK...don't count on them being invited to any Christmas parties, IMO.

The usual suspects [EGGS,BAMM,MALL,ONSL,AMZN,EBAY] have been mostly played out [with lots of internet investors holding short] for now and may get passed by also. Still the first team...just sitting the bench a while.

NTKI/CDNW merger completion will create one very serious internet music company...attractive from here all the way back down, then to new heights, IMO. Intermediate.

SEEK and DIS have yet to show their hand on "Go Network." Also SEEK has "Express" which is a super search engine that searches all other search engines with a single command. They hold patent and have not yet made the big announcement of general availability. Both companies seem undervalued for long termers here anyways.

Also if inet rally, keep eye on WAVO and FCSE. Strong new wireless technology caught Wall Street by surprise last week. May be different story next time.

Chance favors the prepared mind. [name that movie]

Market Track is a collection of DOS windows and I found it difficult to get running. myTrack is a true WIN 95/98 product. It is more stable and less prone to lock up. It gets up and running quicker too. It is MUCH easier to customize the the stock monitor in my Track. One thing I don't like about myTrack is that you can't cut and paste
time $ sales logs, but over all I prefer myTrack. Its also about $15/month cheaper.
