<OT> E, only the email attachments can spread a virus when opened. I was in charge of virus protection for my section when I worked at Lockheed Martin in Systems Test. If reading an the email message could do anything any unsolicited email could spread a virus. Reading an email message can't spread a virus. Reading an infected attachment can.

E, a humorous post but there are always people that will start wondering whether a computer virus can really do those things.
