Most Internet stocks are up with very low volume during pre-open time. What's happening in these stocks is that a lot of low volume traders tend to buy a few shares (yes, very few like 25 shares) hoping to make a few dollars a day. But, because of the large number of on-line traders doing this nowadays, for example just 1000 traders putting in 25 shares is 25K shares. That is why we see these stocks trading up pre-open most of the time. The pre-open pricing on the Internet stocks means NOTHING for that day's trend.

The greatest fools are the ones buying at open, hoping to make a few quick bucks. Looks like it's not that simple anymore.
